PeriProducer Programming for the Nortel BCM Platform
This 4 day intensive programming course is hands-on and intended for the application developer with a programming background who is new to PeriProducer and the BCM platform.
Students will gain practical experience by writing, testing and debugging programming assignments during class. They will learn everything required to write and test IVR applications on the BCM using PeriProducer.
This course will include the following:
- Introduction to the BCM and its Web-based tools to administer the IVR system.
- PeriProducer application development lifecycle: writing, testing, putting into production, and maintaining PeriProducer applications and their Vocabulary files
- PeriProducer applications that use DTMF touchtone input and prerecorded vocabulary prompts will include:
- Menus
- Receiving and storing caller input
- Decision making and computation
- Looping
- Prompting
- Error handling
- Setting environment parameters
- Modularizing with Containers
- Advanced PeriProducer topics will include:
- Linked applications and-DNIS driver applications
- Reusable subroutines in PeriProducer
- Shared memory and Administrative applications
- Text File access from PeriProducer
- Introduction to SQL rdbms interface from PeriProducer
- Administration of PeriProducer Applications using the BCM web-based tools.
- Introduction to Unified Manager, BCM Web-based Administration
- Running and terminating applications in production mode (tappman)
- Converting and maintaining vocabulary files for production
- Debugging applications in production mode
Duration: 4 days (the final day will not end early, please plan accordingly)
