Speech Recognition Application Overview
Speech Recognition Application Overview is a 3 hour, distance-learning seminar to introduce attendees to the life cycle and stages of a speech recognition application. This course will include the following topics:
- The stages of designing, developing, and deploying speech recognition applications.
- The design process for speech applications and how this differs from DTMF
- Understanding the role of speech recognition grammar
- Understanding the relationship between the speech recognition grammars and the application including utterances, interpretations, confidence values, multiple results, barge-in, and natural-language grammars.
- Tuning, a normal part of speech application deployment.
- Miscellaneous topics: Supporting multiple languages, VoiceXML, text-to-speech, introduction to CCXML.
Each module lasts approximately one hour, followed by review questions and a Q&A period for more in-depth discussion.
